For the past 10 years, LumeSmart Earth Day has championed Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) as a core pillar of our mission to combat climate change. From the beginning, we’ve recognized that the climate crisis is a global challenge that requires diverse perspectives, equitable solutions, and inclusive collaboration. Over the last decade, our conference has grown into an international platform, welcoming speakers from various cultural backgrounds and regions, spanning continents from the Middle East to North America. These global voices bring a wealth of insights, shaped by unique local experiences and challenges, fostering a more comprehensive and resilient approach to climate action.
Our DEI journey is also reflected in our commitment to empowering historically underrepresented groups. We have consistently made room for diverse viewpoints—not only in terms of ethnicity and culture, but also in gender, socioeconomic status, and professional background. By doing so, we’ve cultivated an inclusive environment where solutions can be co-created, and where everyone, regardless of background, has a stake in shaping the future.
